Rest and Relaxation ! day2 cont.

Madie needed a break from the baby pool... so she hit the spa!

 Silly girl

This was so relaxing!

Makenna tried to make a break for it when she thought we weren't looking...

She loved the waterfalls

That night Madie and I went out by the pool for some big girl hang time.
She's so into that right now, it's so cute!

It's very rare when she flashes a big smile like this when there's a camera in front of Her. Isn't she crazy beautiful!!!

Later that night, we had a surprise!

Madie Lost another tooth!

And this picture, well it's just stink'in cute!

On the way home the next morning there was a small sand storm, but it was still a beautiful drive.

Even though it was a small vacation, it was much needed and much appreciated!

Random crativity

I had this old table my mother gave me when I got married, It was the 2nd piece of furniture we ever had.  I held on to it because it was bare wood and I knew I would use it someday.

So I painted it, I don't have a before picture, I know... I hate when there's no before pictures. Some times i just get so excited to have a moment to work on something of my very own that  I forget to grab my camera. Sorry...

First I painted it a chocolate brown.

Then I started distressing the edges

Now it looks great and matches all my other furniture!
Thanks mom!

Sweet pea birthday!

My darling girls both have their birthdays in September so we usually have a double party.
This year we fell in love with Veggie tales "Sweet pea beauty" movie.

The message is so great, so I had no problem with this new role model.  Now to whip up a last minute, budget friendly party...

This was fun and cheap to make, $ store find I just spray painted pink and put out to set the mood for our pink and green sweet pea party!

Our yummy menu included " bob the tomato soup", "Larry the cucumber and cream cheese sandwiches", veggies and dip, and cheese spinach dip. Of course there was tons of candy and sweet treats!

This was the cake! Thanks Michelle It came out great, check her out at my cupcakery.
Yummy Strawberry cake, with FRESH strawberries!

This was our sparkling party punch

okay this is the most refreshing drink you can drink, cucumber water!

the girls enjoyed the punch more then the water, more cucumber water for the mommies!

 Maddie and the girls

It was suppose to be an all girl party but how can you resist these two cuties!

Time to blow out the candles!

Then presents!

Makenna really had no clue what was happening but she had fun playing with the tissue paper, hahaha!

Thanks to all of Madie's and Makenna' s  friends for making their day so special !

Women Rock! Confrence 2010

So for those of you that attend the Rock church this post is extremely over due. I know , I know but better late then never!
This year we had an amazing theme to follow. World war two and Rosie the riveter.

With God we can do it!

This was the biggest Woman's conference we've had yet!
I was so proud of my amazing church. Our leadership loves and values women and the amazing role we play on the planet .

I love helping out with the planning and decorating department and this year I got to help decorate for the huge massive "party under the stars "
and
I got to play an Andrews Sister on stage for our opening act!!!
So here is day one of Women Rock 2010!

I arrived early to see that our foyer had been transformed to a massive history book into lives of amazing women that helped win the war! Our graphics department did an amazing job on this one!

These were our amazing speakers and
our store, with lots of goodies!

Okay I love this book! It's so funny, real, and life changing. I was so happy when my hubby bought it for me.

Here are to of our wonderful youth interns!

Now into the main Sanctuary to get ready...

I couldn't get too many shots because they were still setting up.

The opening act was amazing! the message was amazing! Christine Cain tore it up!
Then it was out to the party!

Of course everyone dressed up...

The idea for the center pieces was a good old fashion
"victory Garden"

These vase's were covered with the leg part of jeans

We made these out of old jeans, Styrofoam, sand, and coffee grounds

and mason lanterns

The food and refreshments tried right in with the theme,
we had yummy root bear floats, kettle cooked chips and mini sliders.

Delicious!

So after this amazing night we still had a full day ahead
so I called it a night.
